There are many ways to plug in:
Join a Working Group
Five open coordination groups are forming to shape key areas of the summit. Join as an individual or as an organization based on your strengths, interests, or location:
Local Organizing and Mobilization: Mobilize communities, movements, unions, and networks within South Africa. Ensure a powerful local presence at the summit.
International Organizing and Mobilization: Coordinate solidarity actions and campaigns across borders, especially focusing on the global South.
Pre-Summit Campaigns & Activations: Plan actions, roadshows, teach-ins, and artivism leading up to November.
Program Design and Summit Experience: Craft the 3-day experience, from themes and sessions to logistics and layout.
Communications & Media: Shape the public narrative of the 99% with media, storytelling, and visuals.
All coordination groups operate horizontally and are facilitated by group anchors. Everyone is welcome to participate. You do not need to be an expert, just ready to contribute.
Other Ways to Contribute
There are many ways to show up, support, and shape this summit:
Artists & Creatives: Help with installations, performances, music, and visual resistance.
Campaigners & Educators: Bring political education tools, workshops, and activist training methods.
Volunteers & Organizers: Support logistics, accessibility, safety, and registration efforts.
Movements & Collectives: Bring campaigns, protests, and proposals to life at the summit.
Funders & Allies: Support travel, accommodation, interpretation, and venue costs.
Researchers & Documenters: Capture and analyze the summit’s knowledge and impact.
Media & Communicators: Tell the story of the 99% through your platforms.

- You are willing to support in whatever way you can — covering your own costs, bringing participants, helping others, offering in-kind support, or simply spreading the word
